SuperGalaxian draws inspiration fromthe Arcade Classic Galaxians (Midway, 1981) which itself isn't far from Space Invaders.

You control a ship that fights hordes of invaders: the twist regarding the original version, is that your ship can move in 4 directions, adding to the epic dogfights of the original.

The game has to be expanded: power ups, different enemy formations, scrolling backgrounds ...

SuperGalaxian could be mixed with some ideas of Belega to create an all new exciting shoot'em'up.
